The Florida Department of Health in Putnam County (DOH-Putnam) is informing residents of an increase in mosquito-borne disease activity in areas of Putnam County. Several sentinel chickens have tested positive for West Nile virus. DOH-Putnam and Putnam County Mosquito Control are coordinating surveillance and prevention methods.
