Palatka, Fla. - DOH-Putnam Tobacco staff and SWAT youth participated in the fall festival at Q.I. Roberts Jr.-Sr. High School. SWAT promoted the "Not A Lab Rat" campaign, to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco and the deceptions of Big Tobacco marketing and to discourage youth from being lab rats for the electronic cigarette products.

Approximately 20 students took a quiz to determine their knowledge about vaping. Each also wrote about how they see themselves, using the "I am not a Lab Rat, I am _________" messaging. Results from the quiz showed that 100% of respondents know that nicotine is addictive and that vaping can weaken your immune system.
