Team members wore blue in recognition of National Diabetes Awareness Month.

Palatka, Fla. - DOH-Putnam held an orientation on Diabetes/Diabetes Programs available at the health department in recognition of National Diabetes Awareness Month. Carol Kazounis, Public Health Nutritionist began with a Prevent Type2 screening followed by a discussion on the types of diabetes; the warning signs and risk factors, and how to refer people to our programs.

DOH-Putnam offers a Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) course; and in collaboration with UF-IFAS a free Prevent T2 class. Team members wore blue in recognition of National Diabetes Awareness Month.
