DOH-Putnam - Great Things Happen Every Day in Putnam County

Palatka, Fla. - DOH-Putnam joined community partners to shine a light on the positive happenings within our county at the #PositivelyPutnam Expo at the 2019 Azalea Festival. Over 1000 visitors enjoyed the 73rd Annual Celebration.

DOH-Putnam presented Storyboards highlighting our DSME newly accredited Program; "Food for Thought-#LiveWell Putnam" initiative; WIC's "The Milky Way" encouraging Breastfeeding; Putnam's Community Baby Shower; Community Flu Vaccine Pods and our Annual Food Day Drive.

DOH-Putnam team members shared information on Diabetes, Heart Health, Tobacco/SWAT, Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer, WIC and Medical Services programs. Mike Patterson, Health Services Representative, was available to demonstrate the hands only "2-minute CPR" technique and Donna Lynn, Registered Nurse was on hand to administer flu shots to interested festival attendees.
