DOH-Putnam - Helping Families Build Bright Futures

Palatka, Fla. - The Department of Children and Families in Putnam County awarded "A Certificate of Appreciation" to DOH-Putnam for participating and supporting Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The health department and other community partners sponsored the Block Party at the Palatka Riverfront to bring awareness to child abuse. Over 75 organizations participated with more than 500 parents and children enjoying the activities, information and food. The DOH-Putnam Healthy Families and Violence Intervention Prevention Programs shared information on positive parenting, health tips and heightened awareness on preventing child abuse.
