DOH-Putnam - Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) brainstorm for a tobacco free future

Palatka, Fla. - Jennifer Ramos Gagne', Tobacco Program Manager joined by 2 SWAT youth, Isreal Hart and Mackenzie Donnelly, represented DOH-Putnam at the Statewide SWAT Meeting in Fruitland.

SWAT youth learned leadership skills, the latest tobacco trends and issues among youth, and collaborated with other youth from the entire state to plan statewide initiatives for the upcoming year.

Former SWAT Advocate, Kareem Golden, from Putnam County sat on a panel with the Bureau Chief of Tobacco Free Florida and discussed his role in anti-tobacco advocacy and how his SWAT involvement positively influenced his decisions and provided him with the opportunities for a bright future.
