DOH-Putnam - A shot in the arm for community health

December 19, 2019

Palatka, Fla. - DOH-Putnam in partnership with the Putnam County Jail and the Sheriff's Office, provided free 120 Hepatitis A, 122 influenza and 124 Hepatitis B vaccines to the new inmate population Saturday.

The EPI team visits the jail on a rotating basis to reduce the risk of diseases. Prison is, for many inmates, an opportunity to access health care, and learn about chronic and communicable diseases prevention.
