Palatka, Fla. - The Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (FBCCEDP) screens low income women who are also underinsured or uninsured. This program offers free or low-cost mammograms, Pap tests and clinical breast exams (a physical exam done by a health care provider).

"Going mobile" makes it easy to get the doctor recommended breast and cervical cancer screenings. DOH team members from Putnam, Dixie, Gilchrist and Levy partnered with Tech Care X-Ray during "Annual Women's Health Week (February 10th - 14th) to provide and encourage women to have health examinations. The DOH staff answered questions, assisted with scheduling exams onsite and provided swag bags with additional health education information.
