DOH-Putnam - Teen Resources

January 22, 2020

Palatka, Fla. - The Teen Health Resource Guide is a fingertip guide, providing middle and high school students with up-to-date, nonjudgmental, straightforward support and access to available health resources nationwide.

Jennifer Ramos, Putnam County Tobacco Program Manager, met with the Putnam County School District, the Florida Youth Survey coordinators and our local Violence Intervention and Prevention Program to add local resources to the guide. This effort provides victims of bullying, sexual assault, violence or rape and human trafficking a local contact. The need became obvious after attending Human Trafficking Training at St. Johns River State College. Distribution of 2600 plus resource cards coincides with the Florida Youth Surveys (FYS) taking place the month of February.
