Healthy Families Putnam

Promoting Positive Parent-Child Relationships!

Healthy Families Putnam is part of the nationally accredited Healthy Families statewide home visiting program for expecting and new mothers. Putnam County’s Florida Department of Health provides the program at no cost to Putnam County residents and is sponsored by the Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida and the State of Florida Department of Children and Families.

Healthy Families promotes healthy child development and empowers families to be self-sufficient through individualized parent coaching and support.

Healthy Families provides:

  • Free voluntary home visiting program

  • A Community Resource Referral Service

  • Child development assessment services

  • ​Support in:

    • Achieving the goals important to you

    • Positive discipline techniques

    • Coping with the day-to-day stress of parenting in healthy ways

    • Setting and achieving short- and long-term goals

  • Education on:

    • Home safety

    • Latest information that affects children and their health

    • Age-Appropriate Play: Sensory and hands-on activities with learning materials, tools, and supplies.

Eligibility

Families may be eligible for services if they:

  • Live in Putnam County.
  • Are expecting a baby or have a baby less than 3-months-old.
